New Delhi: Eight opposition MPs were suspended on Tuesday (February 3) for allaged unruly behaviour, including tearing and throwing papers towards the Lok Sabha Speaker's chair. Among those suspended for the remainder of the session are Congress MPs Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, Gurjeet Aujla, Hibi Eden, Prashant Yadaorao Padole, Kiren Kumar Reddy, Dean Kuriakose and Manickam Tagore and S Venkatesan of CPI(M).
Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) said it would lodge a formal complaint with the Speaker, demanding strict action against the MPs involved. The Lok Sabha witnessed a huge uproar on Tuesday after BJP MPs allegedly objected to Leader of Opposition (LoP) Rahul Gandhi from speaking in the Lower House.
As soon as the House met at 3 pm following multiple adjournments, Dilip Saika, who was in the Chair, named the eight Congress members. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju read out a resolution seeking suspension of the eight members for the remaining period of the Budget session that is scheduled to conclude on April 2.
The House passed the resolution by a voice vote, following which the proceedings were adjourned for the day amid uproar.
After suspension, the eight MPs, alongwith Gandhi, staged a protest outside Parliament building against the deciiosn.

Rahul Gandhi's Hits Out At PM Modi:
Earlier, Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi made big allegations against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, accusing him of "being compromised" and "selling the country" through the India-US trade deal.
Congress MPs Protesting Outside Parliament:
Speaking to the reporters outside Parliament, Rahul Gandhi said, "Modi ji is rattled. The (US-India) trade deal, which was stalled for the past few months, was signed by Narendra Modi last night. There is extreme pressure on him. Narendra Modi ji's image can get damaged. The main thing is that our PM is compromised.
The Lower House has been adjourned for the day.
Since Monday afternoon, the House has been witnessing uproar after Gandhi was disallowed to cite an article based on excerpts from an unpublished 'memoir' of former Army chief M M Naravane on India-China conflict of 2020.
