Chandigarh: Punjab BJP working president Ashwani Sharma who visited the site of the blast outside the party office here on Thursday said that the BJP will not allow communal harmony in Punjab to be disturbed at any cost.
It may be recalled that a low intensity blast had taken place outside the BJP office on Wednesday evening when a suspected crude explosive device was hurled near the party office.
Addressing newspersons, Sharma referred to a series of grenade attacks which took place in the state in the recent past and hit out at the chief minister Bhagwant Mann-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government over the law and order situation in the state.
``These incidents clearly show that the law and order situation in Punjab has completely collapsed, and its impact is now reaching the state capital Chandigarh as well. It is unfortunate that the chief minister is evading responsibility and his insensitive remarks are adding to the distress’’, he alleged.
