NEW DELHI: Taking a leaf from party patriarch LK Advani’s call never to forget the dreaded days of Emergency in the 1970s, the Bharatiya Janata Party is organizing a discussion on Thursday evening on “25 June, 1975 Emergency: Black Day of Democracy.” The event is being organised at the Mavlankar Hall here under the banner of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukerjee Research Foundation. The party sources said Advani has been approached with a request if he would like to speak, though the invite sent out shows only three speakers: BJP President Amit Shah, Organising General Secretary Ram Lal and journalist Dr A Surya Prakash, chairman of the Prasar Bharti Board.
