Bihar Shooting Incident: Union Minister Nityanand Rai's 2 Nephew Fire Shots At Each Other In Jagatpur; 1 Dead

Jagatpur: An incident of firing involving two nephews of Union Minister Nityanad Rai was reported from Bihar's Jagatpur on Thursday. One of the them died in the firing.

Jayjeet Yadav and Vishwajeet Yadav fired shot at each other over a minor dispute in the Naugachia area of the district. Vikal reportedly died in the incident. Meanwhile, Rai sister was also injured in the incident.

The police reached the spot after the incident. After the incident, Jayjeet and Vishwajeet were rushed to a hospital. However, Vishwajeet died during treatment, while Jayjeet's condition is reported to be critical.

“We got information that two brothers shot each other in Jagatpur village around 7.30 am today. In the incident, one brother was injured and one died in hospital. Post-mortem of the deceased man is being done," Naugachhia SP Prerna Kumar told reporters.

“Prima facie, it appears to have been a fight over a water tap, which escalated so much that they shot at each other,” she added.

Police Officer's Statement:

Panic gripped the locals of the area due to the incident. A detailed investigation has been launched into the matter.
