Patna: A shocking incident has come to light from Janipur police station area of Bihar's Patna, where criminals broke into the house of an All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Patna, nurse and burnt alive her two innocent children on Thursday, reported NDTV.
The deceased children have been identified as Anjali and Ansh. The nurse has been identified as Shobha Devi a resident of Janipur.
Children Had Returned from School
Reportedly, the children had returned home from school when the incident took place. Soon after the incident, police rushed to the spot and started a thorough investigation in the case.
Cause Of Fire Yet To Be Known
Reportedly,the police is currently probing to determine whether it was an accidental fire or the result of a criminal act.
Patna Paras Hospital Firing
Earlier in the month, unidentified assailants shot dead a murder convict, Chandan Mishra, who was admitted to a hospital in Patna for treatment. Four accused in the case were arrested from Kolkata.
Chirag Paswan's Statement On Rising Crimes In Bihar
Earlier last week, Union Minister Chirag Paswan hit out at the Nitish Kumar-led government in Bihar over the prevailing law and order situation in the state ahead of the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025. While interacting with reporters, Paswan said that he is saddened that his party is supporting this government.
"There has been a series of criminal incidents in Bihar, one after another, and the administration of Bihar has completely turned a blind eye to the criminals. It is true that the incidents that have taken place are as condemnatory as they are shameful," the Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) leader said speaking to the media.
