Bengaluru: The Garden City is set to experience light rainfall on Tuesday 6, 2025. The city woke up at 05: 57 AM with cloudy skies this morning and it is likely to remain the same throughout the day. The minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to range from 23 degrees Celsius and 32 degrees Celsius, respectively. The city is expected to witness the sunset at 06:35 PM. The humidity is expected to be around 58 per cent. The wind is expected to blow from the west at 10 km/h.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the Air Quality Index is likely to stand at 82 which indicates moderate air quality in the city.

KSNDMC shared a weather report on X

Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) shared a weather report on X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, "Scattered moderate rains with thunder and lightning are likely across the state for the next 5 days, with scattered showers in the coastal, Malnad and southern interior districts, and moderate rains with scattered showers in the northern interior districts."

Rainfall is expected in these regions

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert in the city till May 7. Coastal areas, Maland, and districts of South Interior Karnataka are set to experience thunderstorms, lightning, and squalls. However, a change in weather conditions is predicted in the city in the upcoming days.

IMD officials have attributed the wet weather to a cyclonic circulation in the Bay of Bengal, which is gradually moving towards Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. This system is expected to bring widespread rainfall across Bengaluru, Kolar, Ramanagara, Chikkaballapur, Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, Hassan, Tumkur, Davangere, Shivamogga, Bellary, Chitradurga, Mandya districts and Chikkamagaluru.
