Bengaluru Weather News: IMD Predicts Orange Alert In Coastal & South Interior Karnataka; Check More Details

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted heavy rainfall with cloudy skies on Friday. The minimum and maximum temperatures are set to range around 21 degrees Celsius and 27 degrees Celsius, respectively.

Bengaluru: Bengaluruians have been enjoying cool weather over the past few days. The city is set to experience heavy rainfall on July 4, 2025. Cloudy skies are also expected in the city, which is expected to remain the same throughout the day. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the Garden City is set to experience rainy days in the first week of July.

The city woke up at 05: 58 AM. The minimum and maximum temperatures are expected to range from 21 degrees Celsius and 27 degrees Celsius, respectively. The city is expected to witness the sunset at 06: 50 PM. The weather department said that rain and cloudy skies will keep the temperatures mild and pleasant in the forthcoming days.

KSNDMC shared a weather report on X

Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC) shared a weather report on X (formerly Twitter) for seven days and wrote, "Scattered to widespread moderate rain and scattered heavy rain in coastal and Malnad districts of the state, very heavy rain at isolated places today and tomorrow. Scattered light to moderate rain in interior districts."

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued moderate to heavy rainfall on Friday in coastal and its adjoining regions, and South Interior Karnataka. Meanwhile, a yellow alert has been issued in North Interior Karnataka. Scattered heavy rainfall is predicted in isolated regions of the state. The rainfall is likely to be accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning.

IMD advisory

Humidity levels may hover around 70-85 per cent, making the air feel damp, especially after rainfall. If you plan to step out, it's advisable to carry an umbrella or raincoat, as sudden rain showers are common. Wearing light cotton clothes will help in dealing with humidity.
