Bengaluru Police arrested a man after he allegedly sexually harassed a young woman in public and bit her on the lips.
According to reports, the incident took place when the woman came out of her house to buy groceries. The accused, identified as Mohammad Maroof Sharief, allegedly followed her, made some obscene gestures towards her and then forcibly kissed and bit her on the lips in full public view.
The woman managed to escape the harassment and told her mother about the incident. The mother approached the police and filed a complaint against the perpetrator at the Govindapura Police Station.
According to reports, Mohammad Maroof has been charged with sexual harassment and public indecency.
This incident follows a series of public misbehaviour cases reported near Milton Park in Bengaluru's Cooke Town in June.

According to India Today reports, a man had allegedly approached a woman who was walking with her family and behaved indecently. Shortly after that, he entered the park and forcibly hugged and kissed another woman on the lips. "Telling anyone won't make a difference," the accused said after being confronted.
In a similar case reported in April this year, a man followed two women in the city's BTM Layout area and groped one of them. The incident was captured on CCTV footage and the video went viral on social media.
