A man allegedly killed his 27-year-old wife, who was eight months pregnant, on Monday morning in Uda Colony of PM Palem in Andhra Pradesh's Visakhapatnam. The accused has been arrested, according to reports.
The victim, Anusha, and her husband, Gyaneshwar, argued this morning over an unspecified issue, during which he strangled her, causing her to fall unconscious.
Gyaneshwar reportedly took his unconscious wife to the hospital, where doctors declared her dead. Later, he surrendered to the police.
The accused runs a food shop near the Scouts and Sagarnagar viewpoint in the city. Gyaneshwar and Anusha got married three years ago after falling in love.
However, in recent months, the couple had frequent arguments over various issues.
Police sent the victim's body for an autopsy and have launched an investigation.
