Andhra Pradesh: Several people killed after explosion in limestone quarry, others feared trapped

Five individuals were killed and several others are feared trapped after an explosion in Andhra Pradesh's Kadapa. According to reports, several others are feared trapped by debris in the limestone quarry. A report quoting Porumamilla inspector of police Mohan Reddy indicate that the blast occurred when detonators were being shifted within the quarry.

News agency ANI quoted police officials to report that five people had been killed in the explosion, while four others were missing. The explosion occurred due to gelatin sticks that exploded while being unloaded near Mamillapalle village in the Kalasapadu area of the district.
