Amritsar: Two unidentified armed assailants shot Gangster Ravneet Singh alias Sone Mote in Punjab's Amritsar on Tuesday. The incident took place in Kathianwala Bazaar. The crime was recorded on the CCTV installed in the area. The CCTV footage surfaced online on Wednesday, a day after the shooting incident.
In the CCTV footage, it could be seen that Singh was riding his scooty through the narrow lane of the market area. His friend was riding as pillion. Two men came from the other side on a scooty. Meanwhile, the pillion rider opened fire at Singh. He fell down immediately.

However, the gangster's friend also took out his pistol and opened fire on them. After receiving the information, the police reached the crime spot.
Two men shot a man called Ravneet Singh. We have reached the spot and an investigation is being carried out. We have some initial leads and the culprits will be caught soon. He has been taken to a hospital," Vishaljit Singh, ADCP Amritsar, told ANI.

Singh, who had previously received threats and survived past attacks, was known to be involved in multiple criminal cases. The incident adds to the growing concerns over escalating gang violence in the city.
