Kolkata: BJP IT cell head and co-incharge of Bengal, Amit Malviya referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech once again slammed Trinamool Congress over MP Mahua Moitra’s comment on Goddess Kali.
Taking to Twitter, Malviya said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi speaks reverentially about Maa Kaali being the center of devotion, not just for Bengal but for the whole of India. On the other hand, a TMC MP insults Maa Kaali and Mamata Banerjee instead of acting against her, defends her obnoxious portrayal of Maa Kaali.”
It can be noted that amidst BJP’s demand for suspension of Mahua Moita over her comment on Goddess Kali, addressing the birth anniversary of Swami Atmasthananda, who was the 15th president of the Ramakrishna Math, Modi said that the blessings of Ma Kali are there with India.
Referring to Swami Vivekananda, Modi said that a person of ‘great stature’ like Swami Vivekananda also behaved like a ‘child’ seeing the idol of Ma Kali.
“Swami Atmasthananda has the same faith as Swami Vivekananda. When we sit near the banks of Ganges in Belur Math we get to see a Kali temple (referring to Dakshineswar) and Ma Kali’s blessing is always there with the country,” mentioned Modi.
Without naming anyone and standing firm on her point, TMC MP Mahua Moitra also taking to Twitter said, “Would advise BJP Troll-In-Charge for Bengal to tell his masters to stop commenting on things they have no clue about. Didi O Didi got them the boot. Now Maa O Maa will get them a foot on their chest.”
Slamming Mahua, Malviya once again wrote, “Smarting under public rebuke from Mamata Banerjee, TMC MP is using repeat defiance on the issue of Maa Kaali to humiliate her, diminish her stature as a leader, knowing fully well that she wouldn’t be able to act against her, for fear of angering her Muslim vote bank.”
