Former Telangana minister and BRS MLA KT Rama Rao, shortly after actor Allu Arjun's detention on Friday in connection with the stampede incident at Sandhya Theatre, hit out at CM Revanth Reddy and demanded his arrest for allegedly causing the death of two innocent people who died in Hyderabad due to the fear psychosis caused by the HYDRA demolition.
The stampede at Sandhya Theatre during the Pushpa-2 premiere on December 4 claimed the life of a 39-year-old woman and left her son critically injured.
The police have detained three people related to the stampede incident so far.

A woman passed away and her son was hospitalised for asphyxiation as crowds pushed at a cinema on December 4 in Hyderabad during the debut screening of 'Pushpa 2: The Rule'. The event occurred on Wednesday evening when a huge crowd of fans gathered at the Sandhya theatre to catch a sight of the actor.
The detention of Allu Arjun has escalated into a political controversy as the primary Opposition party in Telangana targeted ruling Congress government in the state.
In his post on X (formerly known as Twitter) post, KT Rama Rao criticised the CM Revanth Reddy over Allu Arjun's arrest. The post says, "Arrest of National Award winning star Allu Arjun is the pinnacle of insecurity of the rulers! I totally sympathise with the victims of the stampede but who failed really? Treating Allu Arjun Garu as a common criminal is uncalled for especially for something he isn’t directly responsible."
"There is always space for respect & dignified conduct. I strongly condemn the high handed behaviour of Govt Going by the same perverse logic, Revanth Reddy should be arrested for causing the death of two innocent people who died in Hyderabad because of the fear psychosis caused by Hydra," he added.
Allu Arjun has approached the court seeking to quash the FIR and has requested a stay on all further proceedings, including arrest.
