Ahead of Bakri Eid, CM Yogi Adityanath bans animal sacrifice in open

Lucknow: UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has reportedly directed the police authorities and the administration to ensure that sacrifice of animals does not take place in the open during the upcoming festival of Bakra-Eid or Eid-ul-Adha. He has further directed the authorities to make sure that the blood and the offal were not disposed of by the devout into drains.

In the high-level meeting, CM Adityanath directed the state police to remain vigilant during the ongoing Kawad yatra. The BJP leader explained that the aforesaid measures were being taken by the government to ensure that the religious sentiments of other communities were not hurt. According to reports, the chief minister gave these instructions to the authorities through video conferencing. Aditynath also ordered all senior officials to conduct patrolling in sensitive areas and visit the respective districts.
