The Aam Aadmi Party on Wednesday targeted Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta for dozing off during an Assembly debate.
Sharing a 13-second clip of the House proceedings, the AAP said, "This is Delhi's Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, who has been sent to the Assembly by the people of Delhi to work for the city. However, CM madam is dozing off during the discussion in the Assembly."
Hitting out at Delhi CM, the AAP said, "Rekha Gupta Ji, if you get some time after insulting Babasaheb and Shaheed Bhagat Singh, please pay some attention to the Assembly discussion as well!"
In the clip shared by the AAP, Rekha Gupta can be seen closing her eyes.
The video shared by AAP received mixed reactions from users. A user found Rekha Gupta unfit for the CM post, while some users defended her saying, "She is not sleeping, she is listening to everything with full attention."
Some users criticised AAP for sharing a short clip that does not show the whole reality.
Taking a jibe at Delhi CM, one user wrote, "Honorable Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Ji's residence experienced a five-hour power outage last night, due to which Madam Chief Minister couldn't get enough sleep. She is now making up for it in the Assembly today."
"Some are saying that Rekha Ji is sleeping. I say no, she is not sleeping but envisioning a developed India of 2047 in her dreams," wrote another user.
