New Delhi: The government today swapped posting of two senior IAS officers, appointing A K Jain as Secretary in Ministry of Women and Child Development.
Jain, a 1977-batch IAS officer of Nagaland cadre, was earlier posted as Secretary, Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, a charge which has now been given to his batchmate Nita Chowdhury, a release issued today by Ministry of Personnel.
Chowdhary, also a 1977-batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre who was holding the charge of Secretary, Women and Child Development Ministry, will now be taking over Jain’s work in the Ministry of Home Affairs, the release said.
