Terror Associates Held In J&K's Kulgam

Meanwhile in another development reported recently, two terror associates were arrested on December 5 in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam district with a cache of arms and ammunition. The individuals, identified as Manzoor Ahmad Bhat of Nipora village and Altaf Ahmad Lone of Zadoora, were apprehended in the Lower Munda area of Qazigund tehsil. Security forces seized two AK-47 rifles, four magazines and rounds of ammunition from their possession.

Officials confirmed that a case has been registered against the arrested suspects and further investigations are underway, as reported by IANS. This operation is part of an intensified anti-terror campaign launched by security forces across Jammu and Kashmir. The campaign aims to dismantle the terrorist ecosystem by targeting active militants, over-ground workers (OGWs) and sympathizers.

The crackdown follows a series of terror attacks targeting the Army, police, security forces, and civilians in the region. According to the security forces, the handlers of terror from across the border have become impatient due to peaceful and people-participative measures in the region.

The smooth functioning of process during the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir has further fueled their rage. According to reports citing intelligence agencies' analysis the handlers of terrorism are trying their best to give the last push to terrorism in J&K and the security forces are fully prepared to meet the challenge.
