Why blood pressure needs attention and how you can control it with Sujok therapy

High blood pressure, also known as hypertension, occurs when the force of the blood against the artery walls is high. When this happens for a long time, it creates health complications can ups heart disease risk.

Hypertension is defined as blood pressure above 140/90. It is considered severe if the pressure is above 180/120.

There often no immediate symptoms and hypertension can go undetected for a long time. However, there are some common symptoms like:

Symptoms:

1. Headache, mostly on the crown

2. Blurry vision and fatigue

3. Pressure in ears

4. Palpitation or irregular heart beats

5. Nausea or/and vomiting

6. Chest pain

7. Anxiety

8. Perspiration

Causes:

1. Unhealthy eating habits

2. Unhealthy lifestyle

3. Insufficient sleep

4. Obesity

5. Stress and anxiety

6. Genetic reasons

7. Other health reasons

Precaution

1. Around the age of 35, regular BP checkup should be done

2. Pay attention even if BP is border-line high

3. Take prescribed medications regularly

4. Cut down salt intake and spicy food

5. Be extra careful in summer

6. Wear comfortable clothes

Yoga Therapy: Practising asanas like anuloma-viloma, uttana tadasana, Om chanting, braham mudra, deep breathing, chandrabhyas, shavasana, etc. can help.

Sujok treatment: Apply blue colour dot (with a ball point or sketch pen) on the point shown in the photo. You can also massage the point (shown in red in the photo). Our body parts are connected with nerves. When you press the points as per Sujok, it impacts the body parts related to the said points. Thus, bringing in relief from health ailments. Another solution is applying green gram (moong) or any other small and round seeds on the point (shown in red in the photo). Paste the seeds on the palm with the helps of a medical tape.
