New Delhi: Indians love to spend on travelling and holidaying rather than splurging on shopping and eating out, according to a new research, reports IANS.
In times of economic slowdown, worldwide technology provider Pitney Bowes conducted this research to find indications of where people want to spend once the global recession slows down. The study, entitled Recovery Signals, asked 1,000 consumers where they would be looking to increase their spending once the economy improves.
It reflected that 50 percent of the respondents would rather spend on travelling and holidaying than on other activities like shopping or eating out. After travel, 38 percent voted for clothes shopping, and car industries won 34 percent of the votes as far as increased consumer expenditure was concerned.
