Stomachaches in kids are very common and can have many causes, ranging from minor issues to more serious conditions. They get infections very easily as they are small and sometimes do not follow hygiene care. Here are some reasons of stomachache.

Common

Gastroenteritis

Viral infections, other infections with or without diarrhea, vomiting or fever

Gas or indigestion

Overeating, certain foods, or swallowed air

Constipation hard, infrequent stools and a bloated feeling

Stress or anxiety

Food intolerance or allergies

Intestinal worm

Home remedies

Warm compress with cloth or water bag

Offer small sips of water, electrolyte solution, or clear soup

Gentle massage if gas is the cause

Encourage lying down in a comfortable position

Avoid heavy, oily, or spicy food until the pain subsides

Sujok Therapy

Gently massage on highlighted area (see figure) on the palm and apply moong seeds. Keep seeds for one-two hours. Hold them in place with medical ahdesive tape. If the child has a habit of putting hands in his/her mouth, or is too small, then don’t apply seeds on their hands. Just press gently with fingers and apply blue colour.
