Addressing the Lok Sabha today, Lok Sabha Congress leader Adir Ranjan Chaudhry said Wing Commander Abhinandan Wardhaman should be honored and his mustache declared as a 'national moustache'.

On May 27, Wing Commander Abhinandan landed in the parachute unharmed on the Pakistani border, when he tried to enter the Indian territory and flew off a Pakistani plane. He was caught by the Pakistani army.

He responded to the questions of Pakistani military personnel bravely and prudently. Pilot Abhinandan's confrontation with Pakistan caused the world to look back. Following the pressure of India and other world countries, Pakistan released the pilot pilot.

Abhinandan's heroism has caught the attention of many, including children, adults, youth and women. Many young people are impressed by the Abhinandan moustache.

Abhinandan is a native of Thiruvannamalai district of Thiruvannamalai district. He graduated from the National Security Training Center. He joined the Air Force in 2004. With over 15 years of experience, he is the best at handling the Sukhoi-30 fighter. He was promoted to Wing Commander and is now a MiG-21 bison fighter pilot. His wife, Dhanvi Marwa, also retired from the Air Force as a helicopter pilot. Abhinandan's brother is also in the Air Force.

Addressing the Lok Sabha today, Lok Sabha Congress leader Adir Ranjan Chaudhry said that the award should be given to Wing Commander Abhinandan Wardhaman and his moustache as a 'national moustache'.
