New Delhi: The Supreme Court Tuesday set up a three-member committee to go into a newspaper report in which a law student of Kolkata-based NUJS has alleged sexual harassment by a retired apex court judge while she was interning with him.

Soon after a lunch break when the court assembled, Chief Justice P. Sathasivam said they have seen the report and have set up a three-member committee comprising Justice R.M. Lodha, Justice H.L. Dattu and Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai to look into the matter.

Chief Justice Sathasivam said this as Attorney General G.E. Vahanvati raised the issue while referring to a newspaper report.

Chief Justice Sathasivam said that the three-judge committee will commence its probe Tuesday evening itself while issuing notice to the parties concerned.

He said, first we have to ascertain the truth of the report. He said that nobody can enter the Supreme Court without a valid pass.
