Ravi Shankar Prasad gets ministry of telecom, law and justice

Ministry of Telecom, Law & Justice

Son of an eminent RSS member. He Prasad himself attended Sangh shakhas and was a member of the ABVP. He has a reputation for being a diligent lawyer and has argued cases involving LK Advani and the Ram Janmabhoomi case in Allahabad high court. He is deputy leader of BJP in Rajya Sabha and is among the party’s more seasoned hands in Parliament.

He was first elected to RS in 2000 and has held minister of state and cabinet level charges in the NDA government An effective and confident speaker, Prasad has done well as party spokesperson on television and while handling party briefings. He now has an opportunity to handle an important ministry in charge of a key Modi government agenda.
