New Delhi: Disruptions continued in the Rajya Sabha Wednesday over the proposeed formation of Telangana state and the issue of Tamil fishermen.
The first adjournment came within minutes of the house assembling for the day, when Chairman M. Hamid Ansari adjourned the house till noon.
Nouisy scenes were seen when the house re-assembled, as members from the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Congress legislators from Seemandhra region trooped near the chairman’s podium protesting the proposed formation of Telangana.
Members of the DMK and AIADMK protested on the issue of Tamil fishermen.
Amid the din, Deputy Chairman P.J. Kurien adjourned the house till 2 p.m.
