New Delhi: In the wake of the ongoing attack on the Indian Air Force Base in Pathankot, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval’s visit to China to discuss ‘border issues’ has been cancelled.

Doval’s visit will be rescheduled as he is currently engaged with the Pathankot incident.

Doval was to hold informal dialogue with his Chinese counterpart and state councillor Yang Jiechi in which both officials would review the progress made on the border issues and also call on the Chinese Premier Li Keqiang on Wednesday.

Earlier today Doval briefed Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the terrorist attacks at Pathankot’s air base and the Indian consulate in Afghanistan’s Mazar-i-Sharif during the high-level security meeting held at the latter’s official 7, Race Course Road (RCR) residence here.
