Sydney: Former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott has criticised people who were behind his downfall, saying that he could have won the federal election had their been enough support. Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull’s rise to the top was fuelled by growing internal discontent over the Coalition’s consistently poor performance in the opinion polls, reports ABC News. He said those seeking to unseat him had to act at that point. Abbott said he was confident in the legacy he had left for his successor.
