Beware! Fake donation links claiming to collect money for family of Pulwama Martyrs surface online; here are the websites you can trust

After the terrifying Pulwana terror attack which took lives of more than 40 Indian soldiers many fake donation links have been going viral in social media platforms specially on WhatsApp. Many of these fake messages have been shared online and some people claim that the creator of these links use name of celebrities like PM Narendra Modi and Akshay Kumar to influence people to donate or give away their hard earned cash to these fake accounts.

If you are receiving such messages please don’t engage with them, you can also help others by sharing about the fake messages on social media

However, there are many correct way to donate money to the family of Pulwama Martyrs. The most trusted way to contribute money is through the government portal, you may also use Paytm website or app and locate the CRPF Wives Welfare Association and pay the amount you want to donate.

To donate can money in Army Welfare Fund, you have to send a Demand Draft in favour of “Army Welfare Fund Battle Casualties” payable at New Delhi or transfer directly to “Army Welfare Fund Battle Casualties” account with Syndicate Bank (IFSC: SYNB0009055; Account No.: 90552010165915).

The donations received in the fund will help as financial assistance/grant to widows of our Battle Casualties, their next of kin and dependents.

Just like AWFBC, to donate, money in Army Central Welfare Fund an individual can send a Demand Draft in favour of “Army Central Welfare Fund” payable at New Delhi. One can also transfer funds directly to the bank account of Army Central Welfare Fund with Corporation Bank (IFSC: CORP0000205; Account No.: 020500101007721).
