Now this full on dhishum-dhishum going on about Kabir Singh has got me wondering what happens to the real ones with this name? The namesake saint moved on, centuries ago, god bless his soul. As for the living ones, poor guys, hope they are not having to go around, clarifying, ‘That’s not me,’ or, ‘That’s not even remotely close to who I am.’ Time for name disclosures, I tell you!

Our channels toh, less said the better. One such channel, claiming to be holier-than-thou, embedded their female reporter inside the intensive care unit and she disrupted procedures. Well, I didn't see as much outrage over a woman disrupting medical work in real life, or the doctors’ association lamenting that the media projecting such visuals is detrimental to their reputation. Just saying.

Keeping track of these anniversaries is a problem. Michael Jackson’s, I can remember and in case public memory has failed, remember Bhide, yes, yes, the same white, walrus-moustachioed dude who claimed his mangoes were fertile and could help women bear sons! I tell you, the things people are getting away with in these times, makes you want to say, time out from India.

While I pass along stories, I wonder what an idjit am I. Passing up so many opportunities to make monies. Satta on rains, is the best. This time, one should have just sat at the computer and monitored satellite images. This weather bureau na, is another Rambharosewala.

What, no rains we are saying and now, they have predicted monsoon to weaken in Maharashtra, sheh. While I count the rupees, I see many chances go past me. I don't want to be a Su-grieve, man.

The commute in this city is a killer! Most nights we have mijasi taxiwalas brushing off our pleas to be taken to stations as if they are swatting flies. Others make faces as if we are untouchables and yet others sit on the divider and laugh as we struggle to get taxis.

Then we have trains cancelled without any announcements, buses which have either left the bus stop before you reach or are never to be seen. In such times, stray, sweet fellas like a conductor who recently asked the driver to drive till Metro cinema because yours truly was the only passenger. Solicitous, he ensured I safely disembarked at the stop. Small pleasures are true treasures.
