Udit Narayan is undoubtedly one of the most famous singers in the Indian film industry. In the 90s, he has sung many chatbuster songs like Pehla Nasha, Ae Mere Humsafar, Ho Gaya Hai Tujhko To Pyar Sajna, Jaadu Teri Nazar, and many more. Well, the singer has made it to the news for a wrong reason as a video of him kissing a female fan has gone viral on social media.
In the video, we can see that Narayan is on stage and fans are coming and clicking selfies with him. He is seen kissing his female fans on cheeks, and when a female fan tries to kiss him on cheeks, Narayan turns his face and kisses her on lips. Netizens are slamming the singer on social media.
Now, while chatting with HT City, Udit has defended the act and has said that such things keep on happening. He stated, “Fans itne deewane hote hain na. Hum log aise nahi hain, hum decent log hain. Some people encourage this and show their love through this. Udaake kya karna hai ab iss cheez ko?"
He further added, "There are so many people in the crowd, and we have bodyguards present too. But fans think they are getting a chance to meet, so someone extends their hands for a handshake, some kiss the hands... yeh sab deewangi hoti hai. Uspe itna dhyaan nahi dena chahiye.”
The singer further added that it might be someone's motive to create controversy. He said that his many has such an image that everyone wants to create controversy. He also mentioned that his son Aditya Narayan never comes into a controversy.
While talking about the partivular incident of kissing the female fan on kiss, Narayan said, "I have been in Bollywood for 46 years now, my image hasn't been such (that I forcefully kiss fans). In fact, I fold my hands when I see the love my fans shower on me, while on stage, I bow down, thinking phir aaj ka yeh waqt laut ke aaye na aaye."
