Who is Shishir Sharma, the actor who broke the news of Rita Bhaduri’s death?

Veteran Indian actress Rita Bhaduri passed away on July 17 at the age of 62. The news of her death surfaced when a poignant post by Shishir Sharma was shared on Facebook informing her fans of Rita’s demise.

The name Shishir Sharma may not ring a bell. But, he himself is a recognisable face from television as well as the film industry. Read below:

  • Shishir Sharma started his acting career in 1995 by playing the role of ‘KD’ in the television serial ‘Swabhimaan’, which aired on DD National.
  • His most well-known television role is of Jagmohan Prasad in ‘Yahaaan Main Ghar Ghar Kheli’ and his performance in Zee TV’s show ‘Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyann.’
  • Sharma has also acted as leading and supporting actor in hit films including Sarkar Raj (2008), Talvar (2015), and Dangal (2016). Most, recently he was seen in Raazi (2018).
  • He completed his schooling from Rishi Valley School, Andhra Pradesh. He then studied at National School of Dubey and completed his B.Com and MBA from Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS) in Mumbai.
  • He has appeared in Hollywood comedy-drama film ‘The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel’ alongside Slumdog Millionaire’s Dev Patel.
  • Apart from mainstream productions, Shishir has also been a part of many short films such as ‘Chhoti Si Guzarish’ and ‘Story of a Lonely Goldfish.’
  • Sharma made a foray into the web space with a role in popular TVFPlay web series ‘Permanent Roommates’ in 2015.
