Bigg Boss Telugu 8, hosted by superstar Nagarjuna, wrapped up on Sunday (December 15) and Nikhil Maliyakkal was declared as the winner of the controversial reality show. Nikhil won the trophy and Rs 55 lakh as prize money. He also took home a Maruti Suzuki Dzire which is worth nearly Rs 6.79 lakh.
Who is Nikhil Maliyakkal?
Nikhil is an actor who has appeared in the Telugu TV show Gorintaku. In the 2021 show Ammaku Teliyani Koilamma, Nikhil was seen as Prem.
Nikhil was born on June 28, 1997. The 27-year-old actor has also appeared in Kannada films and shows. He made his Kannada film debut with Ooty in 2016.

Before participating in Bigg Boss Telugu 8 and making his acting debut, Nikhil had reportedly worked as a Business Development Executive. He is also a dancer. The actor hails from Mysore, Karnataka.
After lifting the Bigg Boss Telugu 8 trophy, Nikhil said, "Thank you everyone. A wonderful journey with you all. A lot of memories, smiles, laughs, tears, fights. All of you have directly or indirectly supported me. I have learnt a lot, and I will use it in my life. Thank you to the audience. Thank you for bringing me to this stage, and proving that I am one of you, and not an outsider."
Meanwhile, on the grand finale, host Nagarjuna, and actor Ram Charan handed over the trophy to Nikhil. He beat fellow contestant and finalist Gautham Krishna.
