The family has not released an official statement yet.

According to Mumbai Police, her autopsy was conducted and the opinion about her cause of death has been 'reserved.' The officials stated that they do not suspect any foul play in the death of Shefali and suspect that she may have died due to a cardiac arrest.

Shefali had been undergoing special treatment for the past 5-6 years to maintain a youthful appearance. On the day of her demise, despite observing a fast for a religious ritual at home, she reportedly received her routine injection. This may have triggered the cardiac arrest that led to her death.

Shefali's health took a sudden turn for the worse between 10 and 11 p.m., as she began trembling and soon lost consciousness.

Shefali first rose to fame with the 2002 music video Kaanta Laga, which became a massive hit/
