Actress Urvashi Rautela was all over the news in 2024 after a video of her from the bathroom got leaked online. While the actress later revealed that it was a scene from her film Ghuspaithiya, she has now said that the video was leaked with her due permission.
Urvashi told Bollywood Bubble that the makers of Ghuspaithiya were in debt and they requested the actress to allow them to leak her bathroom video in order to generate buzz around the film. She also claimed that the makers were on the verge of selling their land, and thus, she allowed them to leak the video.
"They had some debt and were caught up in loans and such. They had to let go of their land and all. Woh sadak pe aane wale the. And so, they came and discussed it with my business manager, head, and all," she said.
"And then, they took our permission...It was a scene from the movie itself, we had not doene anything different or special. The makers requested if they could release it early. It was also intended to create awareness, especially for girls to be cautious," she added.
Ghuspaithiya released in theatres on August 9, 2024, and it was a remake of the Tamil film Thiruttu Payale 2. It also featured akshay Oberoi, Vineet Kumar Singh and Govind Namdev, among others.
Meanwhile, Urvashi was recently at the receiving end of severe backlash after she was seen flaunting her diamond-studded watch and ring while speaking about actor Saif Ali Khan and the attack on him. She later issued an apology and said that she was so ecstatic about her film Daaku Maharaaj's success that she could not understand the gravity of the incident pertaining to Saif.
