The much-awaited trailer of Kajol starrer Maa was launched at an event in Mumbai on Thursday (May 29, 2025). The event was attended by Kajol, Ajay Devgn (producer), and director Vishal Furia, along with other members of the film's team. Maa is a mytho-horror film, a genre that is not much explored in Bollywood. The trailer of the film is intriguing and has some scenes that will surely scare you.

Kajol Reveals She Was Never Offered A Horror Film

Maa is Kajol's first horror movie, and at the trailer launch, she revealed that she was never offered a horror film. The actress said, "With great pleasure, I say that I was not approached for a horror film. But, then you know, casting was in-house (laughs)."

Maa Release Date

Directed by Vishal Furia, Maa is slated to release in theatres on June 27, 2025. While the trailer has impressed us, we now have high expectations from the movie. Kajol fans will get to watch her on the big screens after three years. Her last theatrical release was Salaam Venky (2022).
