Plot
The series is based on Kevin M Hymel's 2019 WWII History magazine article "Fighting a Two-Front War" in WW II History magazine. It tells the story of the 855 women who are assigned the critical task of sorting through a backlog of 17 million pieces of mail for US soldiers in Europe. The series explores what happens when they are given six months to complete this monumental task. Will they be able to finish their work within the allotted time?
