Dinesh Vijan’s horror comedy has been shot in the simple and beautiful town of Chanderi in Madhya Pradesh. The virgin city has been recently visited and explored by Bollywood. Director Amar Kaushik, who shortlisted the city for his film was keen on showcasing the rawness of each location in an elaborate manner.

Director Amar Kaushik shares, “The simplicity and warmth that you feel in Chanderi, make you fall in love with the city immediately. I was once passing through the city during my college days and was mesmerised my it’s beauty. So, when I read Stree, I just knew where to go! Shooting in a town like this with minimum facility for us could have been a task but it was made easy by the love and support we received from the locals. Not only we got the perfect look for our film, the entire crew had a blast working in Chanderi – right from enjoying the local food to shopping for sarees! Chanderi made it memorable for all of us.”

Dinesh Vijan presents Stree, a Maddock Films production in association with D2r films and Jio Studios. The horror comedy has been directed by Amar Kaushik and is set to release on 31st August 2018.
