Actress Akanksha Puri recently opened up about a challenging and unexpected moment on the sets of her new music single Ek Aasmaan Tha, co-starring Sanam Johar. In an interview, she recalled how a pool sequence turned into a nerve-wracking experience.
During a conversation with Bollywood Bubble, Akanksha recalled her wardrobe malfunction during the song's shoot. She said, "It was raining, the pool water was icy, and I was wearing this long, heavy gown. Then the strap came off, and the dress dropped in front."
The actress further credited her co-star Sanam for stepping in at the right time. "He pulled me close and hugged me tightly till the stylist rushed in. I was petrified, but he saved me from major embarrassment," she added.
Despite the mishap, Akanksha said she completed the scene professionally, thanks to some quick fixes and a supportive crew. "Espresso shots were my rescue plan. I kept sipping them before and after jumping into the water. They didn't drag the shoot; they were well-prepared and clear on the vision. That helped a lot," the actress stated.
Ek Aasmaan Tha marks Akanksha's latest musical outing, featuring a mix of romance and drama set against visually appealing backdrops.
Akanksha began her entertainment journey as a model, working with top brands before making her acting debut in Tamil cinema with Alex Pandian in 2013. She gained recognition in Bollywood with Calendar Girls, which released in 2015. It was directed by Madhur Bhandarkar.
Akanksha also appeared in several regional films across Malayalam, Bhojpuri and Kannada industries. Her portrayal of Goddess Parvati in the popular TV show Vighnaharta Ganesh earned her immense popularity on television.
Over the years, the actress has featured in music videos and reality shows, including Bigg Boss OTT 2.
