Actress-turned-politician Smriti Irani is back on television and she will be seen reprising her iconic role of Tulsi Virani in the reboot of the cult show, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2. And ahead of its grand premiere on Tuesday, the actress, along with television czarina Ektaa Kapoor, paid a visit to the Nathdwara Temple in Rajasthan to seek the lord's blessings.

On Monday, Smriti and Ektaa visited the Nathdwara temple in Udaipur to seek blessings for the return of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Both of them were seen in traditional outfits and they interacted with the priest and others in the temple premises.

Opening up about her acting comeback, Smriti earlier told NDTV, "I'm a politician, nothing that you throw at me will make me nervous ever. I am a full-time politician, part-time actor."

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 is all set to premiere on television on July 29, at 10:30 pm. The show will also mark the return of the OG Mihir Virani, played by Amar Upadhyay. It will be a 150-episode series, and Ektaa had shared that it will address an important topic.

A few days ago, as Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi clocked 25 years, Smriti had penned a heartfelt note, thanking the audience for their support. "25 years ago, a story entered Indian homes and quietly became part of countless lives. Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi wasn’t just a show—it was emotion, memory, ritual. A time when families paused everything to sit together… cry, laugh, hope," she wrote.

"To every viewer who made Tulsi a part of their own family—thank you. This journey wasn’t mine alone. It was ours. And it always will be," she concluded.
