Today, there are four old films that have been re-released, Interstellar, Padmaavat, Bareilly Ki Barfi, and Sanam Teri Kasam. While of course Hollywood fans have been excited to watch Interstellar, Bollywood fans have surprised one and all. Sanam Teri Kasam re-release has taken the box office by storm. The advance bookings were very good, and now, there are reports that the shows are having good occupancy.
The film’s lead actor Harshvardhan Rane visited theatres today and as soon as fans saw him they went crazy, especially female fans. The actor shared a video on Instagram in which he is seen meeting fans. There are female fans who start crying after looking at him, and even hug him.
Rane captioned the video as, “I screamed under @deepakmukut sirs office, He got it to the theatre, now If you keep the shows housefull for first 3 days then screens will increase from monday ! #happyroseday #sanamterikasam #rerelease.”
When Sanam Teri Kasam had released in 2016, the film had failed to make a mark at the box office. But, over the years, the movie has received a cult status especially because of its songs, and the performances of lead actors.
As per early estimates, it is expected that Sanam Teri Kasam will collect around Rs. 2 crore on day one of its release which is very good. When the movie had released in 2016, the day one collection was Rs. 1.25 crore. There’s a lot of competition this week in theatres, but it looks like after Interstellar and Badass Ravi Kumar, Sanam Teri Kasam is the audiences’ choices.
Meanwhile, Sanam Teri Kasam 2 is also in the pipeline, and the film was announced a few weeks ago. While Harshvardhan is a part of the film, the female lead is not yet announced. So, let's wait and watch which actress will be roped in to romance Rane.
