Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, and Sunny Deol is one of the most awaited upcoming movies. The film will be released in two parts, and the first instalment will hit the big screens in 2026. Initially, there were multiple rumours about which actress would be seen as Sita in the film, and finally, Sai was roped in. However, recently, during an interview with Siddharth Kannan, KGF actress Srinidhi Shetty opened up about doing a screen test for the film.
When she was asked about the rumours of her being considered for the role of Sita in Ramayana, the actress said, "Now, as already the shoot is happening, I can say it I guess. Yes, I did meet and give a screen test. I remember preparing three scenes very nicely, and they also had a great response; they loved it."

The actress, who is currently busy with the promotions of Hit 3, stated, "I had heard that Yash was a part of Ramayana, and at that time, KGF 2 had released, and the pair was a hit, people were loving it. In just a month or two, this happened (Ramayana audition). So, I was thinking, he will play Raavan, I will play Sita; we will be pitted against each other."

She further added, "I think Sai Pallavi is a great choice. I would love to see her as Sita in the movie, and like I always say when something works great, when something doesn't work it is wonderful because you will have some great doors opening for you."

Srinidhi will next be seen in Hit 3 opposite Nani. The Telugu film will be releasing on May 1, 2025, and it will also be dubbed in Hindi as well. She also has Telusu Kada and Kichcha 47 lined up.
