‘Sadak 2’ : Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt hug it out before kicking off the first schedule of the sequel

Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt became one of the most popular jodis on screen in the 90s and the reason was their much popular film Sadak. Featuring them in lead roles, the film featured the love story of a young couple – a lover who would do anything for his love and a lover who is caught in the dark world of a brothel. The film is all set to get a sequel featuring these two in integral roles in Sadak 2.

On the day of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore’s 77th death anniversary, Pooja Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt decided to kick off the film. The duo not only hugged it out and posed together but Mahesh Bhatt also was in the frame. He was clicking a picture of the two as he stood beside the frame of the honourable Tagore.

Pooja Bhatt, who is known for her social media love, took to Instagram to share the picture saying, “Viewed through the lens of our master @maheshfilm,under the watchful, wise gaze of Rabindranath Tagore or rather, ‘Gurudev’… a special moment captured by @suhritadas this afternoon of Aug 7,2018 which also happens to be Tagore’s 77’TH death anniversary and through which these words of his resonate “Everything comes to us that belongs to us if we create the capacity to receive it.”

There have many speculations in the past about Sadak 2. The film has been in news for quite some time and news reports also had it that the film will feature Alia Bhatt in an integral role. However, no official announcement has been made on that front. But Pooja has time and again asserted that Sadak 2 is indeed happening and that it was Sanjay Dutt who was keen on recreating this love story yet again on the celluloid.

However, it is yet to be seen if a similar story will be retained or if there will be any changes in them.
