Popular television actress Rupali Ganguly, who has become a household name with her role in the hit show Anupamaa, is known not just for her powerful performances but also for her outspoken nature off-screen. Rupali, who is also the highest paid TV actress, never shies away from expressing her views, especially on political and social issues.

The actress recently came out in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and took a sharp dig at actor Prakash Raj, who had shared a satirical cartoon mocking the PM.

The cartoon in question, themed around Operation Sindoor, depicted a blood donation camp rebranded as a 'Sindoor Donation Camp', taking a jibe at the cultural and political atmosphere ahead of the elections.

Sharing the cartoon on his official X (formerly known as Twitter) account, Prakash Raj wrote, "Nothing but Only ELECTIONS running through the veins #justasking."

On Friday, Rupali responded with a scathing post, saying, "Such a low level Prakash Ji! Even lower than the Voting Percentage you got in the 2019 elections."

Her reaction quickly gained traction online, with many lauding the actress for not mincing words. The post went viral within hours, sparking a wave of reactions on both sides of the political spectrum.

This isn’t the first time Rupali has used her platform to speak out. In the past, she has also urged her fans to boycott Turkey over political concerns.

Last week, Rupali also strongly reacted to the arrest of Haryana-based YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, who was held by Hisar police for allegedly spying for Pakistan and sharing sensitive information with Pakistani intelligence operatives.

Before that, Rupali lashed out at Pakistani actor Fawad Khan after he termed India's military operation in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and Pakistan, Operation Sindoor, a "shameful attack."
