Actress and content creator Ruchi Gujjar, who went viral for wearing a necklace featuring PM Narendra Modi at Cannes Film Festival this year, has filed a lawsuit against makers of the upcoming film, So Long Valley. Not just the makers, but she has also named Akanksha Puri, Tridha Choudhary, and Vikram Kochar, in the suit.
According to reports, Ruchi has accused the makers of cheating and duping her of Rs 23 lakh, under false promises of giving her co-producer credits in the film and a profit-sharing partnership.
She accused Sourya Studios & Z9 Productions of financial non-transparency and breach of trust.
She also named actors Akanksha, Tridha and Vikram for promoting the film in spite of the fact that investor disputes were unresolved.
In her lawsuit, Ruchi has asked to stall the release of So Long Valley till she is not paid back the Rs 23 lakh which she allegedly invested in the film. She also said that she must be recognised as the co-producer on the film's slate, as was her condition when she got on board the project.

About Ruchi Gujjar
For those unversed, Ruchi moved to Mumbai from Jaipur to pursue a career in acting. She is known for music videos like Jab Tu Meri Na Rahi, Heli Mein Chor, and Ek Ladki with Aman Verma.
In an earlier interview, Ruchi had revealed how it was a difficult journey for her from Jaipur to Mumbai, since she comes from a Gujjar family where women are traditionally not allowed to pursue careers like hers.
"It was difficult to change how people think about women working in Bollywood. I want to be an inspiration in our community, who fought against the will of people’s thoughts. And I am the only one from my community who has come so far in the Bollywood industry. And my father has been very supportive," she had said.
She grabbed eyeballs back in May this year when she walked the Cannes red carpet wearing a heavily embellished golden lehenga and a custom-made necklace featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
