How often does it happen that among the lead pair in a film, the actress gets paid much more than the actor? It’s hardly a secret that actresses are paid less than the actor working in the same capacity.

With films like Piku, Mary Kom and Queen centered around stories inspired by strong women have crossed the 100 crore mark and ended up being super hits. Still the actresses are still not paid enough as compared to actors even after giving hit films like these. According to our sources, we recently found out that our very own Bholi Punjaban aka Richa Chadha from Fukrey is getting paid more than any actor of her upcoming film Fukrey 2. The movie has actors like Ali Fazal, Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh to name a few and they are getting paid less than the leading lady of the film.
Richa isn’t a new face when it comes to doing unconventional roles. Her roles from Gangs Of Wasseypur to her latest being Sarbjit have been memorable. We are glad Richa broke this trend and now we know it is only going to get better from here.

Only on the basis of appreciation, Richa received higher pay than the rest of the cast. An insider from the production company says, “Bholi punjaban is the most standout character from Fukrey. When the monies were negotiated it was evident that Richa was meant to get higher than the rest, simply because her character was most appreciated. The actors however some haven’t taken to this well and there were some issues for the contracts to get locked. Nobody really has an option anymore as the shoot start in less than a fortnight.”
