Ajay Devgn starrer Raid 2 was released on Thursday. The film collected Rs. 19.25 crore on day 1 despite mixed reviews. Franchise factor and holiday surely help the movie to take a bumper opening at the box office. However, on its day 2, the film showed a drop and collected Rs. 12 crore. While it wasn’t a bad drop, now it will be interesting to see if the movie will show a jump at the box office over the weekend or not.
Looking at the current trend, Raid 2 might not show a jump at the box office on day 3, but it can collect around Rs. 10-12 crore at the box office on Saturday. In 2 days, the movie has collected Rs. 31.25 crore. By the end of its first extended weekend, the film is expected to collect around Rs. 50 crore. However, if the movie shows a huge jump at the box office during Saturday evening and night shows, and on Sunday, then the four-day collection can be Rs. 55-60 crore.
Earlier, this year, Ajay was seen in Azaad which was a flop at the box office. However, in the movie, he had a supporting role, and his nephew, Aaman Devgan played the lead role alongside Rasha Thadani.
The Bhootnii Box Office Collection
Meanwhile, Sanjay Dutt starrer The Bhootnii has become a disaster at the box office. The movie in two days collected Rs. 1.27 crore, and while it might show a little jump at the box office on day 3, still it won’t be able to become a hit.
Kesari Chapter 2 Box Office Collection
Akshay Kumar starrer Kesari Chapter 2 is sustaining well at the box office. The movie on its third Friday collected Rs. 1.25 crore at the box office, taking the total to Rs. 76 crore. It is expected that during the weekend, it will show a jump, and by the end of its third weekend, the movie will mint around Rs. 80 crore.
