It is official now that desi girl Priyanka Chopra has opted out of Salman Khan-starrer much-awaited film, ‘Bharat’. But, do you know what role she was supposed to play in the film? Intriguingly, PeeCee, who probably is going to be wife of Nick Jonas soon, would actually have played Salman’s wife in ‘Bharat’.
Yes, a source told Bollywood Hungama earlier, “Female lead Priyanka will play Salman’s wife. Like Salman, as they become older in the film, she too will sport five different looks in the movie with the help of prosthetics.”
A source further added, “Like Ode To My Father, which spans over many years, Bharat’s story will span over a period of 50 years and that’s why we will see Salman Khan sporting five different looks in the movie – as a young boy who witnesses the Partition to the current years when he is an old man. As the firstborn, Bharat becomes his family’s breadwinner from an early age, doing all manner of odd jobs to support the family. The film begins from a modern day elderly couple (Salman and Priyanka) reminiscing about their past and how they fell in love and got married. So we will get to see a very young Priyanka Chopra and Salman Khan and old ones too. There are flashbacks to various phases of time. Like Ode To My Father which depicted Korean history from the 1950s till the recent times, Bharat too will highlight various important events of Indian history.”
‘Bharat’ director Ali Abbas Zafar officially confirmed the news of Priyanka leaving ‘Bharat’ on Twitter. Ali Abbas Zafar’s tweet reads, “Yes Priyanka Chopra is no more part of @Bharat_TheFilm & and the reason is very very special, she told us in the Nick of time about her decision and we are very happy for her … Team Bharat wishes @priyankachopra loads of love & happiness for life”.
Well, this tweet gave us a hint that Priyanka might soon marry beau Nick Jonas. After all, PeeCee and Nick are madly in love with each other and never miss any chance to be with each other.
Well, we hope Priyanka would officially confirm her wedding day with Nick Jonas!
Meanwhile, ‘Bharat’ also stars Disha Patani, Sunil Grover, Jackie Shroff and Tabu in key roles.
