The much-in-love couple Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas finally tied the knot in a beautiful Christian service at Umaid Bhavan Palace in Jodhpur on December 1. The couple got engaged in July 2018 during her birthday trip to London just two months after they began dating. For the Christian service, Priyanka wore a beautiful Ralph Lauren wedding gown and Nick wore the same designer. The wedding was officiated by Nick’s father, Kevin Jonas Sr. A day ago, the pre-wedding functions began with Mehendi ceremony and the pictures were shared by the newlyweds. Not only that, they even enjoyed a game of cricket. Now, Priyanka and Nick shared pictures from sangeet ceremony and it seemed like a grand affair.
Priyanka Chopra gave a glimpse into their sangeet ceremony and it seemed out of this world. It looked pretty royal as ever as both the families indulged in dance competition. Ladkewalas and Ladkiwalas had a friendly dance-off as they grooved to both Indian and Western songs. Priyanka looked absolutely regal in Abu Jani – Sandeep Khosla saree whereas Nick looked dapper in a navy blue kurta and pyjama. Several performances by Joe Jonas, Parineeti Chopra, Sophie Turner, Siddharth Chopra and the groom and bride’s side made it a surreal night.
Taking to her social media, Priyanka wrote, “It all began as a fierce song & dance competition between the families but ended, as always, as a huge celebration of love. Nick and I were looking forward to the Sangeet (musical evening), another pre-wedding ritual.. and to see what each side had put together.”
She further added, “And what a performance it was. Each family telling our stories through song and dance, filled with lots of laughter and love. We were both filled with gratitude for the effort, the love and the laughter and will carry the memories of this special evening for the rest of our lives. It is an amazing start to a lifetime of togetherness for our families and friends.. #grateful.”
Designer Abu Jani – Sandeep Khosla shared the details of Priyanka’s look for the night. She looked stunning in silver saree. “Glamour at its most luminescent! @priyankachopra is an absolute stunner in our fully hand embroidered sequins sari in gold and silver.”
Abu Jani – Sandeep Khosla further revealed that they also designed Nick Jonas’ look for the sangeet night. They wrote, “@nickjonas is princely in an open midnight blue sherwani with silk thread detailing.”
Their Instagram handle further revealed, “Royal Sangeet at the lawns of Umaid Bhavan. Millions of fairy lights and mirror installations lit up the Umaid Bhavan grounds to create an enchanted wonderland. It was as if the sky and earth danced as one to celebrate this union.”
Kevin Jonas, Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas and youngest one Franklin Jonas came together to pose for a picture as this for the first time all the brothers were in the same frame. Madhu Chopra gave a performance with her daughter Priyanka. Mukesh Ambani, Nita Ambani, Isha Ambani and the entire family were in attendance to enjoy the joyous occasion.
On December 2, Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra will get married following the Hindu rituals. This will be followed by Delhi reception on December 4.
