Plot
The film is set in Greece and tells the story of Fotoula "Toula" Portokalos-Miller, who is still unmarried at 30 years old. She works at Dancing Zorba's, the Greek restaurant owned by her parents, Gus (played by Michael Constantine) and Maria (played by Lainie Kazan). Her family is concerned about Toula's marital status.
However, Toula's life takes an exciting turn when she begins working at her aunt's travel agency and falls in love with a teacher named Ian Miller. Complications arise when she discovers that Ian is a foreigner and learns that his father may disapprove of their relationship.
