Mumbai: In a shocking case of cybercrime, obscene and morphed images of a television and film actress were circulated on a private Telegram group after allegedly being stolen by hacking into her mobile phone. Following the incident, an FIR has been registered against an unknown individual at Malad Police Station.
The actress, who lives in Malad with her mother and has worked in several TV shows and films, was alerted by her manager about her explicit photos being shared in a Telegram group named New Cycle On Road 00. The group allegedly requires a paid membership and keeps users’ identities anonymous. The images were reportedly posted by a user with the handle Mr. Rocky RK.
To verify the information, the actress arranged for someone to join the group, only to be further shocked. She discovered that between April 17 and May 19, 2025, several of her obscene photos and videos were shared within the group. She suspects that her mobile phone was hacked and the media content was stolen and uploaded without her knowledge or consent.
The photos and videos were shared under a “premium version” label using her name, further intensifying the damage. Despite attempts by her and her manager to contact the group user and request removal of the content, no action was taken. Left with no other option, the actress filed a police complaint.
Malad Police have registered a case under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Information Technology Act against the unidentified Telegram user. Further investigation is underway.
