Apart from Hardik Pandya, we have listed down eight Bollywood celebrities whose comments on women or a female costar are as misogynistic and sexist as that of the cricketer.

It all started when Hardik Pandya made some seriously sexist comments at women on Koffee with Karan season 6 where he was accompanied by cricketer friend KL Rahul.

From bragging about how he told his parents ‘Main Karke aaya aaj’ when he lost his virginity to remembering women according to their moves rather than their respective names, Hardik literally lost all the respect he owned as a cricketer. Such was the backlash that BCCI had to ban Hardik and Rahul from the ongoing Australia ODI series.

However Hardik is not the only one who felt that objectifying women is completely cool that too on a public platform. Earlier too, Bollywood actors like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff among others have made comments about women or female co-stars on the same lines. Unfortunately unlike Hardik these celebrities did not face the wrath of netizens at that time.

Check out below the list of the celebrities

Ranveer Singh

It’s hard to believe that even boyfriend and husband of the Millenium Ranveer Singh has made some really absurd comments about Bollywood actresses.

In the below video Ranveer can be heard saying, he was floored by Kareena Kapoor Khan’s beauty when she would come to a club for swimming. “I went from child to boy”, he says in the clip while describing his feelings to see Kareena swim.

In the same video Ranveer can be seen talking about Anushka Sharma asking her if she wants to get her a** pinched, which left Anushka visibly shocked as she hits him, telling, “don’t talk to me like that.”. Check out the videos below

Ranbir Kapoor

In the below video you can see how Katrina Kaif’s mic keeps falling to which Ranbir states “why does your mic keep dropping?” and “do you need help in fixing it?” This makes Katrina furious who snaps at Ranbir. The Kapoor lad instead of apologizing or being sorry said to Prakash Jha who was also present over there “She keeps fighting all day, sir.” The whole incident occurred during the promotions of Raajneeti. Akshay Kumar

Now famous for doing women oriented films like Padman and Toilet, Khiladi Kumar also had his share of moments where he was misogynistic. For e.g. at one of the Roundtables with Rajeev Masand where Akshay was accompanied by actors like Ayushmann Khurrana, Irrfan Khan, Varun Dhawan and Rajkummar Rao, the actor narrated an incident when a fan in the name of clicking a selfie with the leading lady kissed on her cheek and ran away. Akshay’s causal and fun way of narrating the incident was definitely not in a good taste.

In fact comedian Mallika Dua also slammed Akshay for making sexist remarks on her on Star Plus’s television show, The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. Apparently in one of the episodes, Akshay while talking to Mallika Dua said, “Aap bell bajao, main aap ko bajata hun (You ring the bell, I will bang you)”

Salman Khan

In an interview to an entertainment website, Salman Khan while promoting his upcoming film Sultan where he played a wrestler compared his exhaustion from a physically demanding shooting sequence to the film to that of a “raped woman”.

Sanjay Dutt

Sanjay Dutt has often said that how he wanted to break elder daughter Trishala’s legs when she mentioned her desire of becoming Bollywood actress. Sanjay stated that even his father didn’t allowed his sisters to join the acting Industry and how he is following his dad’s footsteps.

Shah Rukh Khan

The King of Romance has also become the King of blunders with his inappropriateness about women. During a book launch honoring women authors, SRK made arguably one of the most indecent remarks against women in general by saying, “This may be politically incorrect, but actually when I speak to a woman, I’d like her to be lying down.” Upon hearing this, no one from the English media, the intellectual elite or even women protested.

Tiger Shroff

In an interview when Tiger Shroff was asked about his equation with the female leads of Student Of The Year 2, the actor said “I don’t get involved with the casting at all. I don’t really care about the padding around me. It’s the script and my character that matter.” Tiger’s comparison of actresses to padding invited a lot of back lash for the actor.

Rishi Kapoor

King of WTF statements, Rishi Kapoor went one step ahead when during the Women’s World Cup, Rishi demanded that if the women cricket team wins he wants them to repeat Sourav Ganguly’s The Lords Ground act on the balcony, where the cricketer removed his shirt and danced his heart out after India defeated England 2002 at West series final. Check out the tweet below.

“Waiting for a repeat of Sourav Ganguly’s act on the balcony of The Lords Ground, London, when India beat England 2002 at West series final! YO.”
